Genomic Coaching

“In no more than three months I can modify the activity of hundreds of my genes, just by carefully applying the appropriate diet and lifestyle. Isn’t that exciting?”
Dr.med. Mario Krause
- Everything we do influences the activity of our genes: every thought, our physical activity, everything we eat and drink, every drug and environmental factor…
- Our genetic equipment and the activity of our genes in turn directly influence our health and our performance.
- The DZIP utilizes these insights with the aim of optimizing each individual´s health program by a change of lifestyle, mental training and by applying a modern integrative approach to medicine.

“Without a doubt, this is the most important, most wondrous map ever produced by humankind.” These are the words of former US president Bill Clinton at the press conference announcing the cracking of the human genome project on the 26th of June 2000.
All people carry the same basic information encrypted in their genes, yet each individual is unique. Minute variations, so called polymorphisms, are responsible for our uniqueness. It is these polymorphisms that will decide whether we will profit from our lifestyle, nutrition or medicines or whether they will make us ill and age early.
The new science “nutrigenomics” is devoted to finding how nutrition or vitamins can influence the activity of genes. It is driven by the goal of preventing diseases before they occur and of optimizing each individual´s performance, always in response to singular particularities.
Within “nutrigenomics” nourishments and nutrition are understood as messengers that can actively be employed as information carriers. The receivers of such information are so called transcription factors and various proteins. As soon as the carrier reacts with the receptor, it changes the protein- and genetic expression and influences metabolic efficiency. This means that certain genes are addressed by certain eating habits. So, each element of nutrition has a profound effect on a cellular level.
Thanks to our detailed knowledge of our athletes’ genetic map we can employ all these insights to induce perfect performance on a cellular level.
